Hand-dyed Yarn

No two skeins of hand-dyed yarn are the same.  EVERY SKEIN IS UNIQUE.  This is one of the most beautiful elements of hand-dyed yarn and generally why it’s so appreciated.  Small batch dyeing produces varied results, every single time.  Unless you receive the exact skein that was photographed, the items you purchase will have their own individual colour variations and shifts.  While the same dye applications are used to produce each skein within a specific colourway, they will all differ slightly.
If working on larger garments or items with one colourway, we STRONGLY recommend alternating rows with multiple skeins.  The Helix Knitting technique is a great way to achieve this.
Computer monitors and screens also vary greatly.  The colour you are seeing on your device may be generating a more green or red shade compared to the original image.

Real Fur Poms

Fur is organic.  Natural variations in pattern and colour occur throughout the same fur type.  Even on the same pelt, variations in pattern and colour WILL be present.  For these reasons, we cannot guarantee exactly how your individual items will appear.  Every pom is unique.  Listing photos display a range of what we consider "normal" for that particular fur species.

Shipping

In Stock orders will ship within 1-3 business days.  If you place an order on Friday, Monday would be considered the first business day.
Dyed To Order items will ship 1-3 business days after production.  Current production timelines can be found here.
All orders, domestic and international, are shipped through Canada Post.
Items will be shipped to the address listed on your order.  Please double check your address so that items are not misplaced.
Shipping rates, as determined by Canada Post, are calculated at checkout.  You will receive a tracking number once your order has been sent.  Please allow AT LEAST one business day for tracking information to become available.
Customers who place multiple orders can request combined shipping within 24 hours of the first order.  Requests received after 24 hours are not guaranteed and will be assessed on a case by case basis.  Please contact us as soon as possible after ordering if you would like to combine shipping.  You can fill out our contact form here or send an email to heather@thingscreatedequal.com with details about your request.
We are required by law to state the actual contents and costs on international customs forms.  Any additional fees or tariffs accrued in transit are the customer’s responsibility.
Please follow your package’s progress through Canada Post and contact THEM directly if any issues arise.  Once packages are accepted by Canada Post, Things Created Equal cannot and does not assume any responsibility for lost, stolen, misplaced, or damaged items.  We cannot replace, or issue refunds for, any packages that have been confirmed as delivered.
Vacuum packed orders (Canada Only) sent by Lettermail are NOT tracked.  Please understand that there is a risk when choosing untracked shipping options.  Once packages are accepted by Canada Post, Things Created Equal cannot and does not assume any responsibility for lost, stolen, misplaced, or damaged items.  If your order does not arrive please consult the Canada Post website to learn about your options.
If a package returns to us because it has been “refused” by you, or deemed “undeliverable”, a refund will only be issued for the price of the items enclosed.  Shipping charges will not be refunded.

Delivery

Customers with a shipping address in Airdrie, Crossfield, Carstairs or Didsbury (Alberta, Canada) will be presented with a Delivery option at checkout.  Orders will be delivered within 1-3 business days.  If you place an order on Friday, Monday would be considered the next business day.  Please advise us if there is a specific place where you would like your package left (ex. behind plant on porch).  If no location is provided your package will be left on the doorstep.  We are not responsible for weather damage or stolen orders.

Returns

A positive customer experience is one of our top priorities.  If there is a problem with your order, please contact us within 7 days of your package delivery date.  Requests received after 7 days cannot be accommodated.  You can fill out our contact form here or send an email to heather@thingscreatedequal.com with details about your request.  Please DO NOT send anything back without contacting us first. 

ONLY INCORRECT OR DEFECTIVE ORDERS MAY BE RETURNED.  In all other instances, sales are final.  

If your package was damaged in transit, please refer to our Shipping policies outlined above.

Items are only eligible for return if they are still in their original condition and packaging, with no exposure to the elements, animals, smoke, or strong fragrances.  Yarn must still be skeined.  Caked or unwound yarn is not returnable under ANY circumstances.

Exchanges are not offered at this time.

All gift card sales are FINAL.

Refunds & Cancellations

Full refunds may only be issued if you cancel your order BEFORE it has shipped.  If the order has shipped, refunds are no longer possible.
If you were approved for a refund but you have not yet received it, first check your bank account again.  Next, contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.  If you've done all of this and you still have not received your refund, please send an email to heather@thingscreatedequal.com.
